What an incredible and mesmerizing evening at the Toronto Zoo enjoying the spectacular opening of Glow in the Wild exhibition!
I was delighted to join many community leaders and members for this extraordinary new after-dark experience, where more than 2,000 handcrafted illuminated lanterns transform the Zoo into a breathtaking celebration of wildlife, nature, art, and cultural storytelling.
Congratulations to The Toronto Zoo for bringing this innovative experience to our community. A special thank you to the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto 大多倫多中華文化中心 for its partnership in bringing this amazing display.
The extraordinary lantern artistry from Zigong (Sichuan, China), a world-renowned centre of traditional lantern craftsmanship, is truly remarkable. These magnificent, handcrafted displays demonstrate how art and cultural heritage can connect people from different communities and countries.
I also want to recognize Mr. Glenn Dobbin, partner at DDM Entertainment & Events Inc., and everyone involved in bringing this spectacular large-scale production to the Toronto Zoo.
Glow in the Wild is a wonderful addition to Scarborough and to Toronto’s cultural landscape. I encourage everyone to experience this magical celebration with there children families.
