It was a pleasure to visit Warden Mart & Smoke (أسواق اهلنا) in Scarborough-Agincourt and meet with owner Armig Shahinian to celebrate Ontario Convenience Store Week.
For five years, Ontario Convenience Store Week has recognized the important role that convenience stores and their frontline workers play in communities across our province.
Our convenience stores are much more than places to pick up everyday essentials. They are neighbourhood hubs, small businesses, employers, and familiar faces that residents rely on every day. They create local jobs, support families, contribute to our local economy, and often step up to support community initiatives and those in need.
