It was a great honour to join the S.E.A.S. Centre in Scarborough-Agincourt for its Ruby Jubilee, celebrating 40 years of dedicated community service. As the local MPP, I was especially pleased to welcome all the guests, community leaders, families, volunteers, and supporters to our riding.
S.E.A.S. Centre has been an important part of our community for four decades, supporting individuals and families, helping newcomers and vulnerable residents, promoting inclusion, and building stronger and more resilient communities.
A special thank you to the incredible youth volunteers whose energy, compassion, and commitment continue to make a difference. I was also delighted to announce that the Ontario Trillium Foundation has approved a $56,000 grant for S.E.A.S. Centre’s “Youth Development for Safe Futures” project.
This important initiative will equip young people with the skills and confidence to manage emotions, build healthy relationships, develop empathy, strengthen resilience, and become leaders in promoting safe and peaceful communities.
