It was a pleasure to attend the press conference announcing the 8th Annual Asialicious Carnival, taking place September 11-13, 2026 in Scarborough!
I want to extend my warmest congratulations and sincere appreciation to Ms. Benny Cheung, Chair of the Federation of Asian Canadians Toronto (FACT), and the entire FACT team for their outstanding leadership and dedication in organizing this landmark celebration for the eighth consecutive year.
Over the years, Asialicious Carnival has grown into a cherished tradition in Scarborough, bringing together families and communities through food, music, cultural performances, arts, entertainment, and meaningful community connections.
This carnival is a wonderful reflection of the diversity and vitality of Scarborough and of the many contributions Asian Canadians make to our communities and to Ontario. It provides an important platform for people from different backgrounds to come together, learn from one another, celebrate our shared values, and strengthen the bonds that unite us.
I also commend the many volunteers, sponsors, community organizations, cultural performers, vendors, and partners whose hard work and commitment make this event possible year after year.
I encourage everyone to mark your calendars for September 11-13 and come out with your family.
