Today, on Independent Pharmacy Day, it was a pleasure to visit Cassandra Pharmacy and meet with the Balian family – Sarkis, Maral, and Vartan.
I want to thank the entire Balian family for their dedication to providing trusted, accessible, and compassionate healthcare services to the residents of Scarborough.
Independent pharmacies are an important part of Ontario’s healthcare system. They are often among the first places people turn to for professional advice, medication support, vaccinations, and other essential health services. But beyond healthcare, pharmacies like Cassandra are also valued community institutions – businesses that know their patients, understand their community, and are there for people when they need help.
I am proud to recognize the Balian family for the many years they have devoted to serving our community, as well as for their generosity and support of charitable and community initiatives.
Thank you for everything you do for Scarborough and for being such a wonderful example of community-minded entrepreneurship.
