Proud to join Minister David Piccini, Minister Nolan Quinn and my MPP colleagues for today’s announcement of more than $10.9 million through Round 6 of Ontario’s Skills Development Fund Training Stream.
Scarborough Health Network is receiving $2.225 million to train 110 people for careers as personal support workers, nurses and nurse practitioners.
In partnership with Sir Sanford Fleming College, this innovative program will provide hands-on learning, mentorship and accelerated training pathways, including opportunities for people from underrepresented and rural or remote communities.
Investing in training means investing in Ontario’s health-care workforce. These opportunities will help more people build rewarding careers while strengthening the skilled workforce needed to deliver high-quality care to families across Ontario.
