I joined Mayor Olivia Chow and community leaders today to celebrate the official re-opening of the newly revitalized L’Amoreaux Kidstown Water Park, a cherished Scarborough landmark that has provided generations of families with summer recreation and enjoyment.
The revitalization of Kidstown Water Park was supported through the Ontario Strategic Priorities Infrastructure Fund (SPIF), with the Government of Ontario investing $1.83 million to help transform the facility into a modern, inclusive, and accessible destination for children and families. The redesigned park features a new outdoor pool and wading pool, expanded splash and water-play amenities, enhanced accessibility features, and Indigenous placekeeping elements that recognize and celebrate the history and traditions of the Huron-Wendat community, created by artist Catherine Tammaro.
Kidstown Water Park officially opens to the public beginning Saturday, June 20th, 2026, offering families a free and exciting destination to enjoy throughout the summer season.
