On Philippines Independence Day, it was a pleasure to meet and thank several dedicated Filipina frontline health-care workers at Scarborough Health Network, whose compassion, professionalism, and commitment help keep our community healthy every day. Thank you for inviting me to join you for a group photo and for the warm welcome at your hallway booth.
A special thank you to Ms. Arlene Manankil-Boyce from the SHN Foundation and her colleagues for sharing their stories, their pride in their profession, and their deep commitment to patient care. On a day when we celebrate the independence, heritage, and contributions of the Filipino community, it was inspiring to recognize the many Filipino health-care professionals who play such a vital role across Scarborough and Ontario.
