MPP Babikian Joins MPP David Smith At Settlement Assistance and Family Support Services To Announce Critical Funding Of $195,000

It is a great pleasure to join MPP David Smith at Settlement Assistance and Family Support Services to announce critical funding of $195,000 under the Civil Remedies Grant Program to Settlement Assistance and Family Support Services.

This funding will ensure that Settlement Assistance and Family Support Services has the resources it needs to provide various services, supports, and education sessions to those who are at risk of human trafficking. It is early intervention programs like these which ensure that vulnerable people and communities are protected.

In order to protect individuals and communities from such heinous crimes, our government invested $345 million to renew its Anti-Human Trafficking Strategy which is one of its kind in Canada.
